LOS ANGELES FOOD POLICY COUNCIL
"GOOD FOOD DAY"
Homerun had the pleasure of working with LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the LA Food Policy Council to present the “Good Food Day LA” citywide day of service in during his office terms. The grassroots event included nearly thirty volunteer sites bringing together thousands of volunteers and participants engaging in activities around the city including garden plantings, cooking demonstrations, neighborhood cooking competitions, food policy trainings and education and more. The culminating event featured a resource fair, food trucks, chef demonstrations, and a panel discussion focused on the impact of the global food system in local areas.

In addition to producing the main event, Homerun produced and edited over 15 videos highlighting the activities around the City. The videos were edited, uploaded and pushed out to Social Media within hours of the event.
