GRADES OF GREEN

"VERTE"

Starting in 2013, Homerun began partnering with the environmental educational nonprofit Grades of Green to produce their fundraising gala event, VERTE. Since that first partnership in 2013, Homerun has frequently produced Grades of Green’s yearly VERTE gala at exclusive locations like the Bel Air Bay Club, Manhattan Beach Studios, outdoors at the PCT Towers, and most recently in 2023 at Optimist Studios in El Segundo.

Grades of Green’s programs span to over 10,000 schools nationwide and its mission has influenced the minds of countless young people. In accordance with this, VERTE emphasizes the evolution and education of the school children who take on the challenge of learning about the environment and celebrates the steps they take to protect it and heal it.

In 2013, over 300 people attended VERTE. That year the event honored Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment at Fox, featured an appearance by Mindy Kaling of “The Mindy Project” and a live musical performance by “Glee” star Darren Criss, and was hosted by television personality J.D. Roth. Homerun, along with Grades of Green, produced all the event’s elements, including the silent and live auctions.
