Run For Education 202o - A Virtual 5k Run

This 29 year old event was re-invented for the 2020 Covid Season. This in person 5/10K was transformed into a virtual event where the registered runners ran a course of their choosing during certain dates in Aug-Sept, 2020.
There was a finisher banner for selfie and photo opportunities at the town hall for everyone to commemorate their individual run. Over 800 registrants ran the 5k. The sponsors were very supportive and received a return on their investment in many ways.
With virtual athletic events being the best choice during Covid, the team behind this run pivoted and made a very fun event for all involved.
