smpte centennial gala

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers celebrated their 100th birthday in splendor on October 28th, 2016.

This "once in a lifetime" event started with the first film ever projected and ended with virtual reality for the whole audience.

Seinfeld's John O'Hurley hosted the event that awarded the Progress medal to VFX guru Doug Trumbull and the Honorary Membership pin to director James Cameron.

Homerun ran the entire show and all aspects of the live event.  It was produced at the Ray Dolby Ballroom atop the Hollywood and Highland Complex.
